GILGIT-BALTISTAN: Governor Mir Ghazanfar Ali Khan has said that Federal Government has been allocated 82 billion rupees for construction of shonter tunnel road project.
Talking to media persons in Astore, he said Shonter tunnel would be constructed under public sector development program will connect Gilgit Baltistan wit Islamabad via AJK. He said that once completed the tunnel will boost the tourism of GB and will have very good socio-economic effect on the people of the area. Referring Karakorum University Campus in Astore he said efforts are underway for establishment of Astor campus on priority basis.
Governor said Rama polo festival will not only uplift sports but also promote tourism in GB.
