KARACHI: The Consulate of Italy in Karachi in collaboration with Karachi Marriott Hotel and Karachi Institute of Culinary Arts KICA) organized the Italian Cuisine week “Settimana della cucina Italiana nel Mondo” on November 20, 2018 at Karachi Marriott Hotel.

At this occasion a talk and presentation on “Health Benefits of Mediterranean Diet” was given by Ms. Moti Khan, Dietician at Agha Khan University Hospital followed by an Italian culinary competition in which 5 students from KICA participated. A panel of judges comprising of two Italians: Ms. Sara Del Re and Mr. Giuseppe Maniscalco and two Pakistani culinary experts: Mr. Ayaz Khan and Mr. Muhammad Hamid selected the winner of the competition, the young and talented student of KICA, Ms. Sana Sani. The second and third position was won by Kashif Raza and Kashif Zaheer followed by Syed Osama and Saifullah as runner ups. The participants were awarded by the Italian Consul in Karachi, H.E. Anna Ruffino.
