ISTANBUL: The Uzakrota Travel Awards, which gathered professionals from the travel industry worldwide, announced its winners during the ceremony held in Istanbul. The event honored outstanding achievements in 45 categories, awarding Hitit 1st prize for its innovative software, which revolutionized the aviation sector.
The award recipients were identified, based on online voting worldwide. During this year’s Uzakrota Travel Awards, 100,876 votes were cast. Hitit, a distinguished provider of technology in the airline and travel domain, known for its inventive and innovative solutions, received the highest number of votes in the category “World’s Leading Travel Technology Provider”, outperforming its main competitors.

Furthermore, Hitit was also awarded 2nd place in the “World’s Leading Global Distribution System” category during the award ceremony. With the agreement recently signed with Turkish Airlines (THY), it will now be possible for Hitit to sell and manage THY’s flights and other additional products and services by authorised agencies, using Hitit’s Crane Agency Portal Application (Crane.APP) in accordance with the latest IATA standards. Hitit, which acts as a digital bridge between agencies and airlines with its Crane.APP solution in different geographies, especially in Pakistan, is expected to become one of the world’s leading companies in Global Distribution System (GDS) in the short term.
