Yes to Social Cause | PIA impressive CSR Initiative

KARACHI:  As a part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, PIA arranged a trip of a group of terminally ill children from Make a Wish Foundation Pakistan tothe city of Lahore. These Children flew on a PIA flight from Karachi to Lahore and were warmly welcomed and greeted by PIA Officialsboth at Karachi and Lahore Airports. The group was accompanied by PIA and Make Wish Foundation officials during their tour of Lahore City. The children thoroughly enjoyed their trip with all possible amenities,care and friendliness. They had an exciting andunforgettable time in Lahore.

The children weregiven a tour of Make A Wish Lahore Chapter office along with the PIA crew. A child namely Basit Ali expressed his life time wish to become a PIA pilot whichwas honored by dressing him in a PIA Pilot’s uniform.  Make a wish Children also visited PIA Head office, where PIA Capt. Naveed fulfilled Abdul Basit’s wish by putting Pilot Wings on his uniform. Abdul Basit was given Pilot training on a Flight Simulator and PIA staff also took the wish children on a Mock Flight. The children were very delighted and overjoyed after receiving plenty of gifts and chocolatesfromthe PIAmanagement. Mr. Tahir Niaz, Acting Chief Commercial Officer PIA , Mr. Aamir Memon , General Manager Brand PIA along with Mr. Ishtiaq Baig, founder/President Make a Wish Pakistan Chapter were also present  with the children.
