MUSCAT: Passengers travelling from the new Muscat International Airport will be subject to strict check-in timings when it opens on March 20, said a report.
Passengers will have to report three hours before their flight’s scheduled time of departure at the new airport, while those who need to cancel their visas need to report four hours before the time of departure, said a report in Times of Oman citing a notice issued by the Board of Airline Representatives to all travel agents in the sultanate.
The strict timings, which aim to ensure smooth handling of passengers and timely departure of flights, are applicable for both international and domestic flights, it said.
The new Muscat International Airport will commence operation with the first departure at 6:50 pm and arrival at 5:30 pm local time, on March 20.
