Strengthening Bilateral Tourism | Thai Counsel General Visits TAAP Head Office

KARACHI: Travel Agents Association of Pakistan (TAAP) hosted a luncheon meeting in the honor of H.E. Thatree Chauvachata, Consul General of Thailand, H.E. Apipan Cheecharoen,  Deputy Consul General of Thailand Karachi and Mr. Kanaporn Apinonkul, Country Manager, Thai Air International, Pakistan.

Chairman TAAP, Mr. Muhammad Naeem Sharif warmly welcomed along with Mr. Anwar Rashid Vice Chairman TAAP South Zone, Mr. Muhammad Hanif Rinch, Former Chairman TAAP and a number of Travel Agents and Tour Operators at Head Office, Karachi.

 In his welcome address, Chairman TAAP briefed that TAAP is the National Association of Travel and Tourism Industry duly registered with Federal Commerce Ministry, Govt. of Pakistan and aims to promote goodwill, harmony and mutual understanding with the Government and Foreign Counterparts to promote travel and tourism industry and safeguard the interest of its members across Pakistan contributing towards Travel and Tourism Industry of Pakistan. TAAP maintains a strong presence, in the governmental circles and enjoys representation in councils and Advisory Board of important Federal and Provincial Ministries, Departments and Authorities.

While appreciating the cooperation of Thai Consulate at Karachi, Chairman, TAAP expressed that under the dynamic role of the Consul General the quantum of promotion of bilateral tourism between Thailand and Pakistan would touch the horizon and any difficulties/hindrance and issues would be resolved with mutual understanding and after more facilitations, the bilateral tourism will surely enhanced.

H.E. Consul General appreciated good working relations with TAAP and assured to facilitate and resolved the issues for promotion of the bilateral tourism between Thailand and Pakistan, he further stated that for more facilitation new staff has been appointed at the consulate to coordinate and resolve any issue of the Travel Agents. He, further assured to take immediate necessary steps for promoting bilateral tourism between Thailand and Pakistan.

The auspicious visit of Consul General of Thai at Karachi had deliberated fruit bearing interaction with the representatives of travel and tourism industry of Pakistan would certainly catalyse the promotion of the travel and tour sectors of both the countries. While conveying his thanks for the heartiest welcome Thai Consul General stated that such meetings would strengthen the bilateral economic relation and promoting tourism reciprocally between Thailand and Pakistan. His Excellency also added the role of Thai Air in promoting tourism & trade between the two countries,

Mr. KanapornApinonkul, Country Manager Thai Air International Pakistan, while conveying his thanks for the heartiest welcome stated that Thai Air network would strengthen the bilateral economic relation and promoting tourism by connecting the commercial industrial hub of Pakistan and now the Thai Air is operating from Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad to international destination. He said Thai Air widely recognized as one of the most innovative airlines in the world. He further stated that Thai Air is playing an important role while connecting Pakistan with Thailand and beyond.

The auspicious visit of Consul General Thailand and interaction with the representatives of travel and tourism industry of Pakistan would certainly catalyse the promotion of the travel and tour sectors of both the countries.

A crest was presented to Consul General by Mr. Muhammad Naeem Sharif, Chairman TAAP and to Deputy Consul General by Mr. Anwar Rashid, Vice Chairman TAAP–South Zone and to Mr. KanapornApinonkul, Thai Airways Country Manager–Pakistan by Muhammad HanifRinch, Former Chairman TAAP and bouquets by Mr. Haji Yousuf Haji Umer a leading Tour Operator.
