ISLAMABAD: Last week the chief executive officer (CEO) PIA, Air Marshal (retd) Arshad Malik inaugurated The Legend Hotel Skardu. The said hotel has been taken on lease from PIA by Legend Hotels and Resorts. The Legend group of hotels is one of the fastest-growing hospitality chains in Pakistan. They have opened properties in Islamabad, Hunza, Chitral, and Skardu in a short span of 8 months.
Upon his approval, Mr. Arshad Malik was warmly received by Mr. Zahid Afzal, Chairman, Mr. Azeem Qureashi, Managing Director, Legend hotels and resorts along with team members of the Legend hotel, Skardu. Mr. Arshad said that there will be regular flights to Skardu from Karachi and Lahore while flights from other regions will also be operated, which will be instrumental in promoting tourism in Pakistan, particularly in Gilgit-Baltistan.
