KARACHI: It was a historic occasion for the tourism industry of Pakistan when Chairman PATA Pakistan Chapter, Lt. Col. [R] Akbar Ali Shareef received Pacific Asia Travel Association’s prestigious ‘Award of Merit’ which acknowledges extraordinary leadership and support to Pakistan Tourism together with PATA.

Last week Col. Akbar arranged a high tea programme at his office to celebrate and share his happiness and achievement with his friends of travel, tourism, Airline and aviation industries. The seniors of travel, tourism and Airline industries responded to his invitation and graced the occasion to congratulate and appreciate Mr. Akbar for his extra ordinary achievement and for his unflinching faith in Tourism potential of Pakistan and the services rendered by PATA Pakistan for its improvement.
On 17th September 2017 in Macao the PATA Honours Committee unanimously agreed at PATA board meeting to recommend Mr. Akbar Ali Shareef, Chairman PATA Pakistan-Chapter & Managing Director and Chief Executive Rakaposhi Tours to be the recipient of the ‘Award of Merit’.
Holiday Weekly CEO also attended the programme and congratulated Mr. Akbar for the great achievement and well deserved award.
