The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced that global passenger traffic data for June showed that demand for flights rose by 7.8% compared with the same period last year. This was in line with the 7.7% growth recorded in May, with all regions reporting growth for the period. The fast-growing Middle Eastern carriers saw a decline in passenger traffic growth levels during the month of June, according to the latest figures from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
