RAWALPINDI: Managing Director PTDC Ch. Abdul Ghafoor Khan while talking to media after coming back from his 4 days official visit of Thailand said that during his stay in Bangkok, he met Pakistani Ambassador Dr. Sohail Khan and discussed that now it is the right time for Pakistani Mission overseas to act more efficiently and at accelerated pace for sending more tourist to Pakistan. Pakistani living abroad is the ambassadors of peace and also assets for the country.
On invitation of Ambassador Dr. Sohail Khan, MD PTDC visited the Embassy in Bangkok where they also discussed the visa issues being faced by tourists intending to visit Pakistan. He said that soon we will form tourist police force to provide maximum security to tourists. There are numerous holy places of Sikhs, Hindus and Buddhist situated in Pakistan and people of these faiths craving to visit there but face many difficulties to obtain visa. He expressed hope that a large number of Thai tourists will be visiting Pakistan in near future and Pakistan embassy may consider providing them visa facilities without delays. We have started process of improving hotel and accommodation facilities in Pakistan as well as increase in number of hotels.
Ambassador said that as compared to previous years, embassy has eased visa issuance and we are issuing visa within 48 hours. In addition, problems of Pakistanis residing in Thailand are solved at top priorities.
