LAHORE: 15th Cholsitan desert Rally to be held on Feb13-16, TDCP has announced the date of Pakistan’s biggest motorsports event in a colorful press briefing given by Managing Director TDCP Mr. Muhammad Tanveer Jabbar. He said that the arrangements of the rally are completed and this year we expect the participation from other countries also. Pakistani women drivers will also take part in full of action and thrill desert rally. The MD also announced that in 2020 TDCP will also organize the Cholistan Desert 1st Dirt Bike Rally.
TDCP started the Cholistan Desert Rally in the majestic desert of Cholistan during the year 2005 with a view to promote Southern Punjab as a winter tourist destination and to promote motorsports in Pakistan. The 15th TDCP Cholsitan Desert Rally 2020 is a 04 days event in which renowned drivers from all over Pakistan participate. The rally route has been extended to more than 500 kms in Cholistan Desert covering three districts i.e. Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, and Rahim Yar Khan also include major forts of the desert (Dingarh Fort, Marrot Fort, Khan Garh, Bhijnot Fort, Moujgarh Fort, and Jamgarh Fort).
Managing Director TDCP added that TDCP provides you an excellent platform for a unique travel experience to see the Cholistan closely having a rich history & culture along with sensational rally. You may have a brilliant opportunity to visit the city of Nawabs, unique places and museums at Bahawalpur. This desert tour further features cultural performances by local artists, fireworks, overnight stays in secure desert camps, camel and jeep safari. He said that on the completion of 15 consecutive years of Cholistan Desert Rally we pleased to announce that we are going to inaugurate Pakistan’s 1st TDCP Desert Resort in Cholistan. Rally will be conducted in four prepared ABCD categories and as many in the stock class in petrol and diesel vehicles of different CC powers and brands while the ninth category is for women. The observer of the Federation of International Automobile also observes the rally and also a book of Rules and Regulation (according to international laws) has been printed.
A bumper purse of rupees five million will be on offer for the top five winners in each of the nine categories. A large number of tourists will be expected to visit Cholistan during the rally days and for cater, the tourists TDCP and other stakeholders completed their homework. The audience enjoyed the colorful cultural performance at the end of the ceremony.
