LAHORE: The Advisor to Chief Minister Punjab on tourism, recently visited Shalimar Garden with Director General Archaeology, Managing Director TDCP, General Manager TDCP, AC Shalimar Town and representative of other departments were also present.
The Advisor directed the concern authorities to take all the possible measures to restore and renovate Shalimar Garden in its real art and style of Mughal era. The Advisor was very concern about the encroachment around the Shalimar Garden. He also directed the concern department to take immediate action to remove all encroachments. It was decided that garden would be restored according to Mughal art and architecture and also provide the modern facilities to visiting public and tourists.
The tourism department directed to setup a tourist information center and other allied tourist facilities in the Shalimar Garden.
