KARACHI: A ceremony hosted at the Karachi Marriott Hotel marked a major milestone for PTM 2026 with the signing of MOUs with leading travel trade partners in Co-Op partnership with the Saudi Tourism Authority (STA).

The 5th Annual Edition of Pakistan Travel Mart (PTM), scheduled to take place from 3rd to 5th April 2026, is gearing up to be the largest and most influential edition so far — a true celebration of growth, collaboration, and global connections.

Upon the arrival of guests, Sardar Zubair Hussain, Vice Chairman of Bukhari Travel and Tourism Services, and Syed Mohammad Ali Hamdani, Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan Travel Mart, warmly welcomed the participants.

The full-house gathering witnessed an engaging tourism documentary on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia presented by Saudi Tourism Authority – Pakistan, followed by an equally compelling documentary showcasing PTM 2025. The audience watched both documentaries with great interest and appreciation.

While addressing the gathering, Ms. Sophia Khawar, Head of Trade, Saudi Tourism Authority – Pakistan, stated that STA will participate in the upcoming PTM 2026 as it did in 2025 and reaffirmed STA’s continued support to PTM in its journey to grow as a strong tourism brand of Pakistan.

In his address, Syed Mohammad Ali Hamdani, CEO Pakistan Travel Mart, welcomed all travel trade partners on board and said that PTM’s core mission is to provide a unified platform and act as a facilitator for participants to interact with local and international exhibitors. He emphasized that promoting Pakistan’s tourism sector at both local and international levels can play a pivotal role in improving the country’s GDP.

In his keynote address, Sardar Zubair Hussain said that Pakistan needs to be promoted as an ideal tourism destination, highlighting immense potential for Buddhist tourism for Far Eastern countries and Sikh religious tourism for Sikh communities worldwide. He added that PTM serves as an ideal platform bringing together all stakeholders of Pakistan’s tourism industry, including provincial and federal government bodies and private organizations, contributing to the shared vision of strengthening Pakistan’s position as a premier travel destination. The diverse representation underscored PTM’s growing role as a global hub for the travel industry, uniting collective efforts to enhance inbound tourism to Pakistan.

He further emphasized that Pakistan’s tourism future lies in sustainable development, authentic cultural experiences, and strong international partnerships.

He envisioned Pakistan emerging as a globally recognized, peaceful, and welcoming destination for spiritual, adventure, and heritage tourism.

Mr. Nadeem Shareef, Chairman TAAP and other signatories of the MOUs also appreciated the efforts and services of PTM in promoting Pakistan’s tourism by providing a strong platform that is steadily emerging as a national tourism brand.
