KARACHI: On the 22nd of October 2018, Country Manager-Pakistan, Qatar Airways, Mr. Ahmad Mir, died in a tragic car accident.
The heart breaking news saddens the travel, tourism, hotel, airline and aviation industries of Pakistan. The management and members of TAAP, PHA, PATA and SKAL International Karachi expressed their grief and sent massages of condolences to the grieved Family and Qatar Airways.
Reportedly the accident took place in the US, while Ahmad Mir was travelling to Niagara Falls. Mir was accompanied by his mother and family on vacation and was heading to the falls for sightseeing.
The accident was so fatal that Ahmad Mir expired on the spot. His family members were shifted to the hospital in critical condition.
The 290 westbound between Colvin Boulevard and Niagara Falls Boulevard were remained closed for several hours because of a deadly crash in which Ahmad Mir lost his life.
Polite and soft-spoken, Ahmad Mir had been a Country Manager for Qatar Airways since November 2010. Mir has served several areas of the prestigious airline over his tenure.
