KARACHI: Departured from Jinnah International Airport Karachi we were off to Abu Dhabi for our FAM trip conducted by Etihad Airways and   Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi.

The group consisted of some of the leading travel agents in Karachi and in Islamabad. Islamabad group joined us there at Southern Sun Hotel.

World-renowned for its impeccable service, punctuality, and hospitality we had a wonderful and pleasant journey on Etihad Airways, from the food, aircraft, and cabin crew everything was luxurious and outstanding.

Once landed we were taken to the Southern Sun Hotel, where very courteous staff welcomed us. The hotel rooms were very modern in design and have modern pampering facilities. After supper at the hotel, we preferred to sleep to get up early to be ready for the all-time great tour of Abu Dhabi.

Abu Dhabi is the capital of the UAE and a booming tourist metropolis that has an abundance of things to do. Marrying the traditions of the UAE with its modern approach Abu Dhabi is becoming must-visit destination in the world.

The next morning we met with a group of travel agents who came from Islamabad and with Mr. Tariq Khan (Etihad Airways) who conducted the impressive and fascinating tour as the group leader along with Ms. Noreen.

After having a hearty and delicious breakfast at the hotel we headed to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. The splendor of the mosque cannot be described in words. Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is a magnificent architectural masterpiece. It is one of the largest mosques in the world and can accommodate over 55,000 worshippers. The mosque features stunning white marble, intricate floral designs, and beautiful chandeliers. It’s a symbol of Islamic art and culture, and a must-visit for anyone in Abu Dhabi.

After the mosque, we were taken on a guided tour of Qasr Al Watan, a grand palace that showcases the rich cultural heritage and political traditions of the United Arab Emirates. The architecture is stunning, with intricate details and beautiful gardens surrounding the palace. We explored the various rooms and halls, including the Presidential Palace, the Great Hall, and the Library. As our day came to an end we went on one of the must-have experiences while in Abu Dhabi, the Desert Safari.

The day ended with a magical note as we witnessed the sun dip below the horizon while surrounded by the beauty of the desert during the sunset safari. Full of fun, action and adventure Dhabi Desert Safari was a great experience .The driver took the vehicle and occupants through their paces as he drove and dove off sand dunes in this Arabian Desert. It was exhilarating and, again, don’t do on a full stomach. It was truly an experience we won’t forget. We had a delicious and grand dinner at the Desert and made our way back to the hotel.
