ISTANBUL: The top management of Turkey’s flag carrier, Turkish Airlines, was overhauled on Jan. 27 after three members of its board and executive committee, including chairperson İlker Aycı, resigned from their posts. Ahmet Bolat has been appointed new chairman of Turkish Airlines’ board and executive committee, a statement after a board meeting on Jan. 27 said. Airbus canceled an order for 50 single-aisle A321neo jets from Qatar Airways worth more than a billion dollars. KARACHI: The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has refused to lift the ban imposed on the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to travel to European countries and the UK on the basis of the audit conducted by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).
