LAHORE: Uzbekistan Airways resumed its flight operation from Tashkent to Lahore on Wednesday following a four-year pause. The first Uzbekistan flight landed in Lahore as per the schedule according to which the Uzbek flagship carrier will operate two flights a week, Wednesday and Friday from Tashkent to Lahore. HAMBURG: Airbus has won prestigious ‘Crystal Cabin Award’ in two categories for the first time at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, Germany. The first winning projects is the ‘ReTrolley’ in the Greener Cabin, Health, Safety and Environment category, ReTrolley separates waste as it is collected in the aisle, reducing its volume by up to 30% through manual compression. To improve the sales of the world’s largest airliner superjumbo A380, the Airbus has developed a new, slimmer staircase just to allow for more seats. It was reported last month that Airbus was considering doing away with the front “grand staircase” to lower the double-decker’s operating costs and boost fuel efficiency. Ingo Wuggetzer, Airbus Cabin Marketing Executive said that introducing a slimmer stairway instead of the double staircase would generate enough space to add 20 extra seats.
