Starting on March 21 from Chashma Barrage, the survey concluded at Sukkur Barrage, covering the entire Indus river dolphin distribution range. The Indus river dolphin is a freshwater cetacean and a global priority species. China once again leads the world in international outbound tourism spending. Figures released Wednesday, 12 April by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) showed Chinese tourists spent $261b traveling to other nations in 2016, 12% higher than in 2015 and more than twice the $102b spent in 2012.
