LIMA:  The International Olympic Committee has elected Paris as host city of the 2024 Olympic Games, with Los Angeles taking on the role for 2028.The announcement, made during an IOC meeting in Lima, Peru, was considered a mere formality after a raft of bidding cities dropped out of the process. LONDON: Mr. Tim Clark, President Emirates has warned legacy carriers that low-cost, long-haul operators are simply a “matter of time”. Wellington Airport has become the first airport in New Zealand to welcome Uber after reaching an agreement with the ride-sharing company. The decision follows the passage of the Land Transport Amendment Bill which recognizes ride-sharing services, like Uber, as part of New Zealand’s land transport regulatory framework.
