Pak-China ‘Iron Brother’ | Ties Reaffirmed At BCFR Seminar In Karachi

KARACHI: The Balochistan Council on Foreign Relations (BCFR), in collaboration with the People’s Republic of China, successfully hosted a critical one-day seminar today on “The Role of Balochistan in China-Pakistan Friendship and Cooperation.”

The event was held at the Consulate General of China in Karachi.​The seminar’s opening statement was delivered by His Excellency Yang Yungdong, the Chinese Consul General in Karachi, who emphasized the indispensable role of Balochistan in strengthening the China-Pakistan Strategic Cooperative Partnership and committed to fostering shared prosperity.

The program was efficiently run by the BCFR leadership and its executive team, Madam Sarah Bano and Madam Zoufishan Asim excellently performed as moderator. The high-level discussions explored Balochistan’s essential geo-economic position for CPEC and regional connectivity, focusing on strategies for inclusive development and regional security. The event featured participation from a diverse range of experts and policymakers, including

Guest Speakers were Ms. Nadira Panjwani (Chairperson KCFR), Senator Mushaid Hussain Syed, Muhammad Irfan Soomro (Director General Ministery of Foreign Affairs),  Vice Admiral R. Dr. Ahmed Saeed (President National Institute of Maritime Affairs  NIMA),  Sirajuddin Aziz (President Federal Banking Ombudsman),  Mir Muhammad Fahad Jatoi (Executive Member BCFR) Wadera Jansher Balouch (Mayor Gaddani Twon, Balochistan, Executive Member BCFR),  Mr. Faisal Jamil Dashti (Founding President Gwadar Chamber of Commerce and Industries), Changgaiz Hussain Khan(Founder & Chairman, Baluchistan Counsel on Foreign Relations, Team Baluchistan,  Baluchistan Bussiness and Economic Consultancy and HCK SWIFT Internationals & CCP , alongside a huge representative of local stakeholders, Notables from Balochistan.

​The proceedings concluded with a detailed synthesis of the day’s policy recommendations and findings, delivered by Mr. Changgaiz Hussain Khan, Chairman of the Balochistan Council on Foreign Relations:

​”This seminar has reaffirmed that our ‘Iron Brother’ relationship must be directly translated into tangible economic development for the people of Balochistan. We must prioritize mutual growth, security, and the shared prosperity that defines the future of the Pak-China partnership.”

​The BCFR confirmed that these collective insights will be compiled into a formal report to serve as a roadmap for future collaborative initiatives between Balochistan and the People’s Republic of China.

Consulate General of People Republic of China and Chairman BCFR, presented Shield to Guest Speaker and Apperication Certificates to 22 Electronic & Print Media and a life Time award was presented to CG PRC by Chairman BCFR

Executives of DRSWA, Mr Aamir Churra and Mr Moiz Shah Drswa presented Award and Flowers to CG. Mr Danish Nafees and Fahad Ilyas Nainitalwala presented giveaway and flower to CG PRC.A marvelous dinner was served by the Chines Consulate General in Karachi.
