KARACHI: Travel Agents Association of Pakistan TAAP) annual elections (2020-2021) for executive committee members, both corporate and associate members (North/South Zone) were held on Saturday, September 12, simultaneously at Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.
The Executive Committee Members (South Zone) elected unopposed whereas balloting for electing Executive Committee Members (North Zone) took place at TAAP Lahore & Islamabad Offices on Saturday, September 12. The TAAP member cost their votes in very peaceful atmosphere.
The official results of the elections will be announced by TAAP in its Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) scheduled on 26. September 2020.
In TAAP South Zone, for 08 corporate seats of executive committee only 08 nominations forms were received. Likewise, for 04 Associate Seats of Executive Committee only 04 nominations forms were received. Therefore, 08 candidates for Corporate seats and 04 candidates on Associate seats as mentioned below have been elected unopposed. The list of Candidates elected unopposed as under:
However, In TAAP North Zone, for 08 Corporate Seats of executive committee 23 nominations forms were received. Likewise, for 04 Associate Seats of Executive Committee 09 nominations forms were received, after scrutinization 17 nomination forms for Corporate seats and 08 nomination forms from Associate seats were approved by the Election Commission / Regulator (TO), DGTO. Therefore, 08 candidates for Corporate seats and 04 candidates on Associate seats elections was held as per election schedule dated 11. July 2020 in very peaceful atmosphere.
