KARACHI: The extraordinary meeting of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Pakistan Chapter Executive Committee was held on Wednesday, 10th November 2021 at the office of Polani’s (Pvt) Ltd., to review the prevailing situation of the Travel Trade industry in Pakistan and formulate a comprehensive plan to support the revival of in-bound / outbound and domestic tourism in the country.
Mr. Muhammad Yahya Polani, Chairman Polani’s Group of Companies accepted to join as Acting Vice Chairman of PATA Pakistan Chapter which was proposed by Lt. Col. (Retd) Akbar A. Shareef, Chairman PATA Pakistan Chapter during the meeting. Two new members Mr. Feyaz Ali Shah and Ms. Sarah Bano (MD SHE Travels – Karachi) also joined the team of the PATA Pakistan Chapter as Acting Secretary and Acting Treasurer respectively.
Mr. Yahiya Polani proposed to initiate an aggressive campaign through all mediums to create more awareness about the functions of the PATA Pakistan Chapter and the benefits one can get through becoming its registered member. Therefore, all entities engaged with Travel Trade (Air/Sea/Surface), Tourism, Hospitality, Governments, Educational Institutes, Media Houses are specifically invited to join hands and become registered members of the PATA Pakistan Chapter and play their active role in the reactivation of travel trade business in the country and PATA Pakistan Chapter will extend all needed support to promote their products and services through the platforms of PATA International and allied business partners.
