RAWALPINDI: Managing Director Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC), Ch. Abdul Ghafoor Khan chaired a high-level meeting of PTDC’s Management and Departmental heads where Executive Director of College of Tourism and Hotel management Asif Javed was also present. Ch. Ghafoor said that the organization owns a chain of motels located a prime tourist locations and hotel in Rawalpindi. A little improvement in services and face uplift will result not only in betterment of tourist facilities but also profitable for the organization. He directed that the rooms of motels and Flashman’s hotel should be renovated and upgraded as well as focus on food & beverages and banquet hall sales. Multinationals, NGOs, pharmaceuticals may be approached to hold their meetings, conferences and seminars in PTDC’s facilities. PTDC is the flag barrier of Pakistan all over the world and we need to leave the old and obsolete methods by adopting new dynamic strategy to promote tourism in the country. By Proper publicity and marketing, this organization can be back on track of its previous glory. We are about to introduce health centre and gym alongwith the swimming pool in Flashman’s hotel. We will also hold food festivals and camping facilities affordable for middle class families. The staff will be trained so that they may provide service upto international standard.

The Executive Director of College of Tourism and Hotel management, Asif Javed said that they are ready to provide training to PTDC employees and support in introducing new dynamic strategy for professional services. He also assured his cooperation for uplift of Daman-e-Koh restaurant Islamabad as well as betterment of food services with publicity.
PTDC officers said that under dynamic leadership of Ch. Abdul Ghafoor, the services organization are improving and soon the organization will back to its previous glory.
