DUBAI: UAE new visa policy promising free limited visas to transit passengers could potentially allow visitors to stay in the country for nearly a week, and it’s not just good for the tourism sector but for the local economy as a whole. MUMBAI: India has shelved its plans to sell debt-stricken national carrier Air India after failing to attract any bidders, a senior official has told local media. Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu said the government had dropped the idea for now because of next year’s general election and rising oil prices, the Press Trust of India news agency reported.
