PARIS: For yet another year, France tops the table for having received more applications for short-term visas than any other Schengen country, according to the Schengen Visa statistics for consulates in 2017, published by the Migration and Home Affairs of the European Commission. France consulates around the world had received a total of 3,265,919 visa applications in 2017, an increase of 418,485 compared to 2016. ISLAMABAD: Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan His Excellency Nawaf Ahmad Al-Maliki has said that the issuance of visa has been made easier for Umrah and Hajj pilgrims. Smelly airline passengers and out of control children have emerged as the leading complaints of passengers in the annual “Passengers from Hell” survey. A global airline safety and product rating airline passengers website surveyed its readers on 10 passenger types who they felt caused the most grief on planes. Hospitality giant Hilton has announced that it will remove plastic straws from its 650 managed properties by the end of 2018. The group also revealed its new goal to double its social impact investments and cut its global environmental impact in half by 2030, with the help of science-based targets.
