MONTREAL: The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has enhanced its Travel Industry Designator Service (TIDS) and will also no longer charge travel agencies to use the service. With the improved overall user experience, agencies can now self-manage their profile online, simplifying the processes for both themselves and the travel suppliers. Royal Caribbean has posted a loss of $1.3 billion in the three months to 30 September as the cruise industry continues to haemorrhage cash. The cruise line said its average monthly cash burn is between $250 million to $290 million as it awaits the resumption of services. PARIS: European plane manufacturer Airbus as reported a loss of €641 million for the first nine months of the financial year, down from a profit of €3,593 million in 2019. A statement said the reversal mainly reflected reduced commercial aircraft deliveries and lower cost efficiency in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. Consolidated revenues decreased to €30 billion for the nine-month period, down by a third from the €46 billion reported last year.
