MANAMA: Gulf Air, Bahrain’s national carrier, is in the midst of a drive to further engage its workforce and encourage two way dialogue.

Spearheaded by the airline’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Captain Waleed Abdulhameed Al Alawi, staff from across Gulf Air divisions are regularly interacting with the airline’s executive management team, learning more about the national carrier’s vision and business strategy, their role in delivering on the airline’s growth and future successes while also having many available platforms for idea exchange and insight sharing.

Captain Al Alawi said: “With regular, interactive meetings with members of the Gulf Air family we are not only ensuring that our messages are clearly and consistently being relayed to all parties, across the board. We are also giving them an opportunity to engage with us, share their invaluable feedback and use their knowledge and experience to guide us further forward. Gulf Air’s #YearOfChange is an exciting and promising time for us all, and it is in the spirit of positive change that I welcome this dialogue and the positive developments that it fuels.”

Gulf Air’s incoming fleet of 39 new Boeing and Airbus aircraft will see by end-2018 the arrival of 5 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners and 1 Airbus A320neo aircraft. Gulf Air’s new and highly anticipated fleet entry, the airline’s Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, serves Gulf Air’s double daily London Heathrow service, offering increased capacity and enhanced, superior onboard products and services. The national carrier’s incoming aircraft orders will ensure it maintains one of the youngest fleets in the region while building upon its award-winning reliability, on-time performance and product and service standards. In 2018, Gulf Air has launched flights to six new destinations with flights to Bangalore and Calicut in India, Alexandria and Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, Casablanca in Morocco and Baku in Azerbaijan.
