LAHORE: Marriott International has announced an agreement with Maverick International Private Limited, an associate of Maverick Hotels of USA to open a 300-room Marriott Hotel in Lahore, Pakistan.
Scheduled to open in 2023, Lahore Marriott Hotel will be built on a 46,000-sqf site in the new downtown area of Gulberg in Lahore.
Commenting on the signing, Alex Kyriakidis, President and Managing Director, Middle East & Africa, Marriott International, said: “We are delighted to work with Maverick International to open the Lahore Marriott Hotel. We continue to see a demand for our brands in Pakistan and are excited to announce our third property in the country under our flagship brand, Marriott Hotels. The site is an ideal location for our first Marriott Hotel in Lahore as it offers a convenient location with outstanding accessibility to key commercial, cultural and historical attractions in the city.”

Lahore Marriott Hotel will feature 300 well-appointed guestrooms, including 40 suites, and comprise five food and beverage outlets, including three specialty restaurants. The hotel will also offer a fitness center, spa and ultra-modern meeting facilities including a 1,161 square-meter ballroom, seven meeting rooms and four boardrooms.
Lahore, known as the “heart of Pakistan, is strategically located as a key trade route that links South Asia to West and Central Asia. The city is also home to the recently renovated& expanded Allama Iqbal International Airport, one of the country’s largest and busiest airports.
