ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has once again demonstrated a strong and unified presence at ITB Berlin 2026, the world’s leading travel trade exhibition, which commenced on 3rd March 2026 in Berlin, Germany. Pakistan’s participation has been organized by the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) under the umbrella of Ministry of IPC, in collaboration with the Provincial Tourism Departments of Punjab, Sindh and Gilgit-Baltistan, and 16 leading private sector tour operator and hospitality companies.

The Pakistan Pavilion was formally inaugurated by Mr. Sarwar Hussain Head of Chancery of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Federal Republic of Germany, reflecting the Government of Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening tourism diplomacy and enhancing Pakistan’s visibility in the European market.

The Pakistan Pavilion is showcasing the country’s diverse tourism offerings, including mountain and adventure tourism, cultural and heritage tourism, religious tourism, eco-tourism and emerging investment opportunities in tourism infrastructure. The unified participation of Pakistan highlights strong federal–provincial coordination and public–private partnership in promoting Pakistan’s tourism sector internationally.

Speaking at the inauguration, Ambassador Saqlain Syedah stated: “Pakistan offers a remarkable combination of natural beauty, ancient civilizations, and vibrant culture. Our participation at ITB Berlin 2026 underscores Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening tourism partnerships and promoting people-to-people connectivity between Pakistan and Germany, as well as the broader European region.”

Managing Director PTDC, Aftab-ur-Rehman Rana, in his message emphasized: “Our presence at ITB Berlin 2026 represents a coordinated national effort to enhance Pakistan’s soft image as a tourist friendly destination at global level. Through collaboration with provincial tourism departments and the private sector, we are presenting Pakistan as a safe, welcoming and high-potential destination for international travelers and investors.”

Throughout the exhibition, the Pakistani delegation is actively engaged in B2B meetings, networking sessions and strategic engagements with international tour operators, investors, media representatives and travel associations to promote inbound tourism and explore new avenues of cooperation.

Pakistan’s continued participation at ITB Berlin reflects its strategic commitment to expanding global tourism engagement, attracting foreign investment and positioning the country as a must-visit destination on the world tourism map.
