LONDON: Pakistan took center stage at the World Travel Mart (WTM) 2024, which commenced on November 6 at Excel London, showcasing its diverse tourism potential. The Pakistan Pavilion was inaugurated by Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Provincial Minister for Culture, Tourism, Antiquities, and Archives from the Sindh Government, alongside Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the UK, Dr. Muhammad Faisal, and Syed Fayez Ali Shah, Managing Director of the Sindh Tourism Development Corporation (STDC). Joining them were prominent participants such as Khawaja Jahanzeb, CEO of Zeb Travels, senior representatives from tour operators, hotels, airlines, and tourism officials from across Pakistan.














Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah praised the extensive preparations for the Travel Mart, expressing optimism that international events like WTM will help drive global tourist interest toward Pakistan, with a special focus on Sindh. Shah emphasized Pakistan’s natural landscapes and rich cultural heritage, marking it as a top destination for international travelers.
The Pakistan Pavilion drew considerable interest from tour operators, international travel company representatives, influencers, and delegates from various countries. The pavilion was also a focal point for previous visitors to Pakistan who showed enthusiasm for exploring more of the country’s remarkable destinations.
STDC’s Managing Director, Syed Fayez Ali Shah, reaffirmed that promoting Sindh and Pakistan as premier tourist destinations is a top priority for the Sindh government. He highlighted the province’s breathtaking natural beauty, cultural heritage, and unique landscapes, positioning Sindh as a hub of tourism potential. STDC aims to increase foreign tourist inflow, showcasing the province’s offerings while fostering socio-economic growth for local communities through tourism initiatives.
