5th Meeting Held | FPCCI Central Standing Committee on Tourism Development

KARACHI: The Convener, FPCCI Central Standing Committee on tourism development, Ms. Shanaz Ramzi called on its 5th meeting via ‘Zoom’ on Wednesday, April 29, 2020.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Zubair Baweja, Chairman Pakistan Hotel association & Vice President FPCCI, Ms. Anadil Khan, Ms. Almas Tariq and Ch. Faisal Mahmood, Chief Editor Holiday Weekly. Ms. Ramzi Chaired the meeting.

Ms. Shanaz welcomed the members at 12 pm sharp and updated them about the issues being faced by her as FPCCI doesn’t seem to be sending out the circular of the committee’s activities to any of its members in spite of her regularly keeping them in the loop.

The meeting discussed in detail the ‘Webinar Session’ to be held on Thursday, on 30th April ‘at 3 PM.  The convener mentioned that up to six people could be part of the webinar session. As four speakers are already confirmed for the session two more will be added. The committee decided that Mr. Azeem Qureshi, Corporate Director Sales Avari Group of Hotels & GM Beach Luxury Hotel and Ms. Asma Khan will also join as Speakers for tomorrow session.

It was decided in the meeting that the link of the ‘Webinar Session’ would be shared with each member of the standing committee so that they could post on their own Facebook pages while others could just enter and join the session live as viewers.

It was also decided that the next webinar session would be held two weeks later, on 14th May, at 3 pm. The session would focus on core issue of domestic tourism and the way forward. The leading tour operators of Pakistan will be invited to address the session. In this regards Mr. Faisal Mahmood contact the seniors of the industry and share the names of the prominent speakers for the next session.
