KARACHI: Two Members TAAP Delegation led by Mr. Muhammad Naeem Sharif, Chairman, Travel Agents Association of Pakistan (TAAP), accompanied by Mr. Noor Mohammad, Member Executive Committee TAAP visited Istanbul-Turkey to attend Annual General Assembly (AGA) and Ex-Ordinary General Assembly (EGA) Meetings of United Federation of Travel Agents’ Association (UFTAA) held on 26-27 March, 2019 in Istanbul-Turkey wherein they were warmly welcomed by the President UFTAA and Board Members of the Association.
During the meeting TAAP Delegation apprised the UFTAA’s President about the issues being faced by the Pakistan Travel & Tourism sector and IATA’s unilateral rules and regulations affecting the travel agency business in Pakistan. Moreover, TAAP offered to host and invited UFTAA to hold next AGA in Pakistan.
TAAP Delegation also had an opportunity to meet the Honorable President of the Association of Turkish Travel Agents (TURSAB) and discussed with him promotion of bilateral and reciprocal tourism between Pakistan and Turkey. He was also apprised that recently Govt. of Pakistan has facilitated and revised the visa regime for the tourists visiting Pakistan.
While availing the opportunity to be present in Turkey, the Honorable Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkey, H.E. Syrus Sajjad Qazi was very kind to receive the TAAP Delegation and facilitated very useful meeting with the Honorable Minister for Tourism of Turkey wherein promotion of tourism between Pakistan and Turkey and visa matters were discussed.
