KARACHI : A five-member Italian singers group titled “Five Voices” performed here at National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA) on Wednesday, 27th March and received great applause from the audience.
The Italian group was invited by NAPA as a part of its International Music Festival-2019. This Italian group is popular for singing without music instruments. They are on a four-day trip to Pakistan since Tuesday. After passing two days in Karachi, the Italian artists will leave for Lahore.
On Friday, evening they will fly back to Italy. It is group’s first visit to Pakistan. The names of the group members are Fabio Lepore, Alessandaro Gnoplfo, Luigi Naradiello, Tanya Pugliese and Danniel Felicia Desideri.
During a media chat, the Italian guests described Karachi as a beautiful and vibrant city, and praised the hospitality of the people.
“When the people here were informed about us being singers from Italy, they warmly welcomed us and were emotional,” they said.
Italians artists said they enjoyed Pakistani foods. In South Italy also, the people enjoy spicy foods, they said. They also visited some historical places here like Mohata Palace.
“We shall love to come to Pakistan again,” one member said. They said, “We wanted to meet many people of Pakistan here, that is why, we are performing.”
