ABU DHABI: Abu Dhabi is set to welcome fully vaccinated tourists from around the world from September 5th. Unvaccinated visitors from green list countries will also be welcomed with no quarantine measures. Vaccines must be approved by the World Health Organisation (WHO). MANAMA: Bahrain’s Civil Aviation Affairs has removed India and Pakistan from its ‘Red List’ countries for travel in line with directives issued by the Government Executive Committee in response to recommendations made by the National Taskforce for Combatting the Coronavirus (Covid-19). Other countries removed from the list include Panama and the Dominican Republic, said a Bahrain News Agency report. PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) would install camping pods in 10 more scenic spots to facilitate tourists in the province. ABU DHABI: UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) and the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) have jointly announced that starting today, August 30, application for tourist visas will be open to people from all countries, including Pakistan provided that they are fully vaccinated with one of the WHO-approved Covid-19 vaccines. GENEVE: The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has reported that Zimbabwe owes US$$142 million to international airlines from ticket sales, cargo space, and other activities. IATA says about $963 million (R14.6 billion) in airline funds, including Zimbabwe’s US$142 debt, are being blocked from repatriation in nearly 20 countries. Other countries that owe substantial amounts were Bangladesh ($146.1 million), Lebanon ($175.5 million), and Nigeria ($143.8 million).
