MANAMA: Bahrain national carrier Gulf Air and Thai Airways International have signed an expansion to the existing codeshare agreement, effective from October 28. The expanded codeshare agreement will extend the travel opportunities for Gulf Air passengers to fly beyond Bangkok on Thai Airways to Hong Kong with immediate effect and to Singapore, Tokyo and Melbourne in the coming months and broaden the commercial partnership between the two companies. WASHINGTON: Nasa is to begin supersonic tests this month for its next-generation passenger airliner, dubbed the ‘Son of Concorde’ by aviation fans. The plane, officially known as the X-59 Quiet Supersonic Transport (QueSST), will fire off ‘quiet’ sonic booms when it is launched for test flights. LISBON: Embassy of Pakistan Lisbon, has established a tourist, business visa facilitation centre within the embassy’s premises. The Centre was inaugurated last week, which is Pakistan’s first in the Portuguese capital. Acting ambassador Fayyaz Ahmed Khan, on this occasion, said that establishment of visa facilitation center is in line with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan who wishes to promote tourism and Pakistani culture. ISLAMABAD: China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) bus service would provide travelling services to passengers four days a week, North South Transport Network (NSTN), the authorised operator of the project. According to a message received here, the 30-hour road trip will cost Rs13, 000 for one-way and Rs23, 000 for return ticket.
