Air France has a total of 10 Airbus A380s in their fleet. The airline hasn’t really loved the plane, as seems to be the case for just about all airlines except Emirates. JAKARTA, Indonesia: A report based on black box data from an Indonesian Lion Air jet that crashed last month cites equipment failures and the airline’s safety measures as factors in the disaster. The data reported Wednesday, 28th November showed the pilots of the Boeing 737 MAX 8 struggled to maintain control as an automatic safety system repeatedly forced the plane’s nose down. MANAMA: Gulf Air, Bahrain’s national carrier, said that a new batch of pilots recently took to the skies with the airline as they completed ground and base training courses. A group of four pilots are now operating as second officers to complete a set of flying hours and earn their next stripe to be first officers, an airline statement said. LAHORE: The PIA has reduced its Umrah fare by Rs4000 after Rabiul Awal 12. Now pilgrim will have to pay Rs68000. Airline sources said the fare was reduced keeping in view of thin number of passengers this year because of Saudi government taxes. The Saudi government has imposed SR2000 tax on Umrah pilgrim visiting Saudi Arabia for second time. Though the religious minister raised the issue with Saudi authorities and they had promised review of taxes, nothing has been done so far. Private airlines have reduced their Umrah fare from Rs 3000 to Rs 5000.
