A Picturesque Italian village has sparked controversy after introducing a £4.40 charge for visitors and installing turnstiles at the entrances; with critics angry at restrictions on entry to what they argue should be a public place. But Domenico Vitto, mayor of Polignano a Mare, which dates back to a fourth century BC Greek settlement, has defended the decision as necessary to ensure a steady flow of tourists throughout the year, and said he planned to introduce the turnstiles in any case in order to reduce congestion. Air France has a total of 10 Airbus A380s in their fleet. The airline hasn’t really loved the plane, as seems to be the case for just about all airlines except Emirates. Air France actually initially had 12 Airbus A380s on order, but they ended up converting two of the orders, which shows you just how much the plane hasn’t worked out for them. Previously the plan was that Air France would start retrofitting the A380s with new cabins in 2020, though the new management team was apparently reconsidering that, given the cost of doing so. This brought into question…

The report repeats recommendations that pilots be better versed in emergency procedures aware of past aircraft problems. The probe into the crash has mainly focused on whether faulty information from sensors caused the accident. The new 737 MAX…
