ISLAMABAD: PakistanCivil AviationAuthority (PCAA) a day after making plastic wrapping, an extra layer of protection over the baggage, of all check-in luggage mandatory at all airports of the country, retracted its decision following social media backlash. The watchdog had ordered all air travellers to have their checked baggage shrink-wrapped, drawing scorn and criticism from frequent flyers and environmentalists. Mr. Shahrukh Nusrat, Director General of CAA, had said that wrapping baggage was now “mandatory”, and it was being done for “safety” purposes. RIYADH: The final development designs for Al Jouf International Airport in Saudi Arabia have been approved by Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) President Abdulhadi Al Mansouri after its thorough review. LONDON: British Airways said on Thursday it would resume flights to Cairo following a week’s suspension, having reviewed its security measures.BA flights to and from the Egyptian capital will start again on Friday, it said in a statement.
