Tewolde Gebremariam said the airport would cover an area of 35 square km and be able to handle 100 million passengers a year. BEIJING: The Ministry of Culture and Tourism China recently announced at its fourth-quarter press conference that 560,000 cultural enterprises in China generated USD 890 billion culture and tourism revenues in the first three quarters, 7.6% more than last year. In the first nine months of this year, about 4.597 billion domestic trips were made by Chinese travelers, up 8.8% year-on-year. ISLAMABAD: A federal government plan to split the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) into two separate operational bodies, regulatory and an airport services division has moved into its final phase. The government is planning to introduce an ordinance to restructure the CAA. The aviation authority has also submitted its recommendations pertaining to its reorganization under the proposed new law.
