ISTANBUL: Turkish Airlines celebrates the 10th Anniversary of joining to the Star Alliance network which was established in 1997 as the first truly global airline alliance to offer worldwide reach, recognition and seamless service to the international travelers.
The flag carrier of Turkey celebrated its membership anniversary at Turkish Airlines Headquarters with the participation of Turkish Airlines Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee, M. İlkerAycı, and Star Alliance CEO, Jeffrey Goh.

Turkish Airlines was welcomed as 20th Star Alliance member airline in April, 2008. When Turkish Airlines joined Star Alliance network in 2008, was adding new 31 destinations to the Star Alliance network, but today it makes Star Alliance presence available at 72 unique destinations in the World.
