A Thumping Success | Pakistan Travel Mart Ends on Positive Note

KARACHI: Held in the city of lights, the first of its kind, three day Pakistan Travel Mart (PTM) ended on Sunday, 26th November, 2017. The mart consisted of over 120 notable national and international brands of travel, airlines, hotels & tourism industry who exhibited their travel and tourism products under one roof.

Through the event, the Pakistan Travel Market (PTM) has been highly successful in bringing opportunities, content and digital tools, to support the growth of the national travel industry by facilitating new connections and lasting business relationships, and by applying global network and expertise to local markets. Everyone who attended the Mart was highly impressed by the displays, it left both local, and foreigners surprised that Pakistan had so much to offer tourism wise.

“Not every dream becomes a reality but Pakistan Travel Mart was a dream that became a far better and superior reality”

This was said by Syed Muhammad Ali Hamdani, CEO, Pakistan Travel Mart at the occasion of PTM gala dinner organized at Pearl Continental hotel Karachi.

While addressing an immersive gathering at post PTM, he welcomed all the national and international guests, particularly the foreign delegates of Thailand, Malaysia, UAE, Turkey, Sri Lanka and Azerbaijan. He thanked Mr. Sardar Ali Shah, Shaheen Air, Hashoo group, PIA, Mezaab group, Turkish Airlines, Serene Air, Qatar Airways, Holiday weekly for their copious amount of support along with all the other participants of PTM 2017.

He said, “I would especially like to thank Sardar Rafiq Khan for giving unflinching support to PTM and helped make this project successful. In-sha-Allah Pakistan Travel Mart 2018 will be far bigger in scale and better in terms of quality”

Addressing the gathering Sardar Rafiq Khan, Chairman Bukhari Group said that he is the happiest person and extremely surprised today to see the success and extraordinary turn out. He also thanked Sindh Minister Tourism, government of Sindh for his support on every step of the way along with all the supporters and exhibitors.

“The event turned out to be better and far exceeding our expectations. In-sha-Allah next year PTM will be even better” he added.

While speaking on the occasion, the tourism Minister AJK congratulated Mr. Mohammad Ali Hamdani and his teams for taking such a great initiative to give such strong push to Pakistan tourism industry. He also congratulated Sardar Rifiq and paid rich tribute to him for the services he is rendering to Travel and tourism industry of Pakistan.

All other speakers at gala dinner spoke very high & congratulated Syed Mohammad Ali Hamdani for his efforts and the success of the event, like Secretary Tourism, government of Balochistan, senior official of TDCP, Tourism Corporation KP, Gilgit- Balistan, Mr. Shakeel Ahmed, Executive director UIC, delegation heads of different countries, Mr. Abdullah Hafeez Khan, Deputy General Manager, Brand Management PIA and Mr. Faisal Rafique, Chief Commercial Officer, Shaheen Air.

The Chief Guest of the event, Sardar Ali Shah, Sindh Minister for Culture, Tourism, Antiquities and Archives said that now is the time to convert terrorism to tourism, while speaking at occasion. He also congratulated Mr. Ali and assured his cooperation and offered his full support for every tourism organization in the country, working anywhere in Pakistan for the promotion of tourism.
