Emerging Tourism Brand | Pakistan Travel Mart to Boost Domestic Tourism, Sardar Shah

KARACHI:  Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Antiquities, Government of Sindh has decided to participate in Pakistan Travel Mart to promote the rich culture and heritage of Sindh. Pakistan Travel Mart is a leading international travel and tourism expo to be held from 24th-26th November 2017 at Expo Center Karachi. Mr. Syed Sardar Ali Shah, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Antiquities, Government of Sindh announced this in a press conference, along-with organizers of Pakistan travel Mart, Mr. Mohammad Rafiq Khan and Mr. Syed Mohammad Ali Hamdani.

Syed Mohammad Ali Hamdani, Chief Executive Officer Pakistan Travel Mart welcomed the media and all the distinguish guests and  thanked Sindh Minister for Culture, Tourism and Antiquities Syed Sardar Shah for addressing the press conference and for his support and participation. He told the Media that team of PTM are going to organize similar road shows in other major cities of Pakistan.

Addressing the press conference, Muhammad Rafiq Khan, Chairman Bukhari Group said that he is associated with travel trade of Pakistan for last 45 years and Pakistan Travel Mart is his idea and this is his earned desire to make PTM an establish travel & tourism brand of Pakistan. He also thanked media and all stakeholders of travel trade industry and Sindh tourism mistier Sardar Shah for gracing the occasion and the lending their support for PTM.

Sindh Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities Syed Sardar Shah while addressing the media said that PTM would boost domestic tourism of Pakistan besides bringing about the promotion of inter-provincial harmony.

Mr.  Sardar Shah said that in spite of having the mountains, deserts and other recreational places in the country especially in Sindh we failed to promote tourism, as it should be.

Sardar Shah further said that Sindh is home to ancient civilizations, rich culture, historic sites and Sufi shrines. Sindh has immense tourism potential and Government of Sindh is taking substantial steps to capitalize this potential. He assured his full support to the team of PTM.

Mr. Yahya Polani, Chairman Polani Group and Mr. Hanif Rinch, Chairman Shirazi Travels and Ex Chairman TAAP also addressed the press conference  and assured their full support to the team of PTM.
