ISLAMABAD: Islamabad: Chairman Hashoo Group, Mr. Sadruddin Hashwani, and Mr. Murtaza Hashwani, Deputy Chairman of the Hashoo Group, hosted a reception in honour of the Pakistan Cricket Team, which won the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy. The event was held at the Islamabad Marriott Hotel, attended by ambassadors, business community, and celebrities. Mr. Sadruddin Hashwani awarded cheque of Rs.0.5 million to Sarfaraz Ahmed, captain of the Pakistan Cricket Team, and Rs. 0.3 million to the rest of 15 players. He also announced three-day complimentary stay for the players at any of the Pearl Continental and Marriott hotels in Pakistan. It bears remembrance, that the Hashoo Group has 9 hotels across Pakistan.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sadruddin Hashwani lauded the performance of the team and congratulated them for un iting the entire nation by virtue of this great win. He said, the young team demonstrated dedication, excellence and of course patriotism all the way.
Executive Chairman PCB, Mr. Najam Sethi in his brief speech, thanked the Chairman and the Deputy Chairman, Hashoo Group for recognizing the efforts of the Cricket team. Omer Sharif, the famous Pakistani stand-up comedian, host, film and television actor, entertained the audience with his wit and humour.
Mr. Murtaza Hashwani also congratulated the players, coaches and the management of PCB for this big achievement. The event was followed by lavish dinner and lively performance by the far-famed singer Sanam Marvi.
