ISLAMABAD: Last month the government of Pakistan approved the formation of a 25-member National Tourism Coordination Board (NTCB) for the promotion of tourism in the country.

The decision was  taken during the meeting of the Tourism Task Force chaired by Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan, was aimed at promoting tourism, enhancing coordination between federation and provinces, formulating provincial regulatory framework, and highlighting other objectives including the promotion of the country’s tourism at an international level.

To assist National Tourism Coordination Board (NTCB) on religious tourism, adventure tourism, cultural, historic and archaeological tourism, Trans-Himalaya Jeep Rally Group, infrastructure and facilitation, regulatory and policy reforms, investment and tourism branding, PM Imran Khan has constituted nine (09) working groups. The notification was issued by cabinet division, government of Pakistan.

 The composition of groups are as here under:

1:.Cultural. Heritage & Archaeology Tourism Working Group

i.          Uxi Mufti (ICT)

ii.         Dr. Ali Jan(KPK)

iii.       Syed Jamal Shah ( Quetta-Balochistan)

iv.        Dr. Syeda Arfa Zehra(Punjab)

V.        Mian Attique AhmedPunjab)

2: ECO Tourism Working Group

i.          Mr. Ghulam Nabi(Gilgit Baltistan)

ii.         Mr. Amjad Ayoub(Gilgit Baltistan)

iii.       Dr. Zia Ullah(KPK)

3: Branding & Marketing Working Group

i.          Mr. Iqbal Walji(Sindh)

ii.         Mr. Javed Jabbar(Sindh)

iii.       Mr. Wajahat Malik( ICT)

iv.        Ms. Sumatra Kamran Isaacs(Dubai)

V.        Mr. Yousaf Baig Mirza(Punjab)
