MULTAN: The Employees Union of CAA staged a protest demonstration at Multan Airport against outsourcing the management, operation and development of three busiest &largest airports in Pakistan. The airports include Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, New Islamabad International Airport& Allama Iqbal International Airport, Lahore.
Rana Muhammad Saleem, President Joint Action Committee, while speaking to the media said, “We demand the government to withdraw its decision.” He added, “The decision will render more than 10,000 employees jobless.”
He added that handing over the profit showing airports to private sector would be a wrong step. “CAA Pakistan is earning more than Rs.26 Billion per annum profit after meeting the losses of smaller airports,” he revealed. Meanwhile, the protesters appealed to the parliamentarians of different political parties to raise voice against the decision of outsourcing of the airports.
