KARACHI:  Power Bites is a selection of Mövenpick exclusive food items for children that focus on nutritional ingredients and healthy cooking methods presented in a surprising and fun way. It is an international initiative of Mövenpick Hotel and Resorts, which has signature dishes, standardized across the portfolio that is available within the hotels’ children menu and brunch.

The cooking class was conducted at La Mamma, the Italian restaurant where Chef de cuisine Tanveer Hussain taught three Power Bites recipes to mother and children. The dishes taught included Tortilla Sleeping Bags, Caterpillar Chicken Sandwich and Bird Nest Spaghetti with a healthy drink, Trail Mix. The class was made interactive and fun by letting children take part in cooking and addressing the questions mothers had related to food items.

The class was conducted to raise awareness about the importance of healthier eating habits and better lifestyle choices. The aim was to make mothers recognize the part they play in influencing the children’s eating choices.
