RAWALPINDI: One of the two Airbus A320 aircraft the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) had acquired on dry lease from the Bank of Utah, the US, landed at Islamabad International Airport on Tuesday morning. The other aircraft is expected to arrive within a couple of weeks, according to a PIA spokesman. DUBAI: Dubai-based low-cost airline flydubai has announced the launch of its inaugural flights from the UAE to the Slovenian capital Ljubljana. KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has decided to sell six Airbus-320 aircraft, recently retired from its fleet. The aircraft will be sold without engines and in this context, the PIA has sought offers from the country’s renowned companies. ISLAMABAD: The government on Wednesday, September 15, approved Rs44 billion bailout package for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) in the shape of cash and sovereign guarantees after its failure to bring any improvement to the financial condition of the national flag carrier in three years.
