ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has inducted another Airbus-320, a narrow body 170-seater aircraft, into its fleet that would help the national flag carrier in expanding flight operations and extending improved facilities to passengers. ISTANBUL: Turkish Airlines has used a special design adorned with leaves on its Airbus 321 type TC-JSU tail numbered aircraft which was used on its environmentalist fuel operation. The airline operated its first flight with the new themed aircraft to Stockholm with the TK1795 flight. LAHORE: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has acquired a state-of-the-art Airbus A320 simulator for pilot training, refresher courses, and air safety. The simulator would lead to safer training and cost savings for the local airlines, as they have to spend a significant amount of money on training their pilots overseas. The state-of-the-art digital 7E Evolution Airbus A320 Full Flight Simulator, acquired from L3Harris Technologies, will be installed at the PIA Training Centre in Karachi. LAHORE: Pakistan International Airline’s (PIA) maiden flight from Lahore to Sydney has been deferred for a few days on the advice of the Australian Homeland Affairs Department, a statement from the flag carrier said Thursday, April 21. Citing the reason for the deferment, the flag carrier, in a statement, said the Homeland Affairs Department wants to reassess the prevailing security situation of the country and review the security apparatus and procedures adopted at Pakistani airports.
