KARACHI: On the eve of 23rd November 2018, The management of Avari Hotels International with the planning and supervision of Corporate Director Sales of Avari Hotels and General Manager Beach Luxury Hotel M. Azeem Qureshi hosted a dinner reception to honor, celebrate and to give a warm welcome to the recently posted Royal Thai Consul General in Karachi, His Excellency Thatree Chauvachata at Beach Luxury Hotel Karachi.

Talking to a group of senior journalists, at the dinner reception H.E. Thatree Chauvachata said that in 2017 Thai Consulate issued 80,000 visas to Pakistanis and this year 100,000 visas were expected to be issued.
He said, “Last year the bilateral trade volume was 1.4 billion dollars and it was in favour of Thailand. There was a big space to increase it with more targeted steps by the two governments including enhanced exchange of information about trade on both sides, arranging more business delegations, visits to explore markets for sale and purchase of Thai and Pakistani goods and services. Besides more engagement between the two governments, increase in people-to-people contact was imperative.”
The reception was attended by diplomats, representatives of multinational companies, Trade Adviser to Royal Thai Consulate in Karachi Mr. Arif Suleman, Commissioner Karachi Iftikhar Ali Shahlwani and elite of the city.
The Consul General said Thailand and Pakistan had good diplomatic relations for last 66 years, which were strengthening over the passage of time.
Earlier, in his welcome remarks, Beach Luxury Hotel (Avari Group of Hotels) General Manager M.Azeem Qureshi said hotel business in Pakistan was growing. The number of foreign visitors was increasing day by day. On the eve of IDEAS-2018 Defence Expo, a large number of guests from various countries were pouring in. All five, four and three star hotels were booked to their capacity.
He said Avari Group of Hotels would provide the foreign guests with the best services and hospitality.
